The Poseidonion Grace, Spetses Island
The Poseidonion Grace has been a landmark on the Spetses island skyline for nearly a century: its Côte d’Azur style echoes the stature of the many luxury private villas that dominate this picturesque island which lies just off mainland Greece. In 2010 the Poseidonion Grace became a member of the award winning Grace Hotels collection of luxury boutique hotels. In the same year it was named in the coveted Condé Nast Traveller Hot List.
The hotel accommodation comprises 45 rooms and seven large apartment suites, a swimming pool, an all-new spa plus a choice of two restaurants and numerous beautifully decorated function and meeting rooms. The premier accommodation in the hotel is the spectacular Grace Suite featuring three double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms and a huge terrace with breathtaking sea views. The Poseidonion Grace which first opened in Dapia, Spetses in 1914 was the brainchild of Sotirios Anargiros, a visionary benefactor who was responsible for much of the development on Spetses island. The Poseidonion Grace Hotel in Dapia represented the cosmopolitan face of the island and soon became one of its famous landmarks. The Poseidonion Grace rapidly became a favourite destination for high society, royalty and the wealthy Athenians.
The Poseidonion Grace recently re-opened its doors following a painstaking five-year restoration programme which has brought the hotel accommodation fully up to date with the finest luxury facilities, fixtures, and fittings while carefully preserving the original architecture of the building.
